Firsts

Lydia and Ruby are now 6 months old. Wow, where did the time go. They've had several firsts in the last couple months.

including: Ruby's first haircut, moving to their cribs, sleeping through the night (about 10 hrs now- no, we don't know how it happened we're just grateful it did), sitting up, and...

eating solid foods. Thus far they've tried rice cereal, oat cereal, and green beans. They weren't quite sure what to think at first, but now enjoy it. Lydia learned to swallow quickly and gets excited. Ruby has finally figured out how to swallow. She used to put her tongue in the way of the spoon- it was quite funny. However, sometimes eating is too much work and sleep takes over.

An Awesome Boat Ride

We went for an awesome boat ride with Ketchesons and Setos. It was way fun. Thanks Setos! We saw a lot of beautiful sites like: house boats, Mt Rainier, draw bridges, and vertical boat docks. It was a great day on the water with friends!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July with Ketchesons and Gardners. We had a yummy picnic and watched amazing fireworks. Lydia and Ruby LOVED the fireworks- like mommy, like daughter. The next day, we made a flag fruit pizza with Hoffmans.

Google Work Party

Google held an incredible party for its employees and their families. We had a lot of fun. Robert is really enjoying his Google internship.

Conference in Spain

Robert had a math conference in a beautiful little mountain village in Spain. It had some beautiful architecture. Yes, Robert made the rock tower in the stream.

He flew out of Barcelona, so he got to see some cool Gaudi architecture. Then his "2hr layover" in Philadelphia turned into a 24hr delay. (He's seriously cursed when he comes home from European conferences.) So, he saw the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.

Trip to Utah

While Robert was at his conference, Camille and the girls went to Utah to visit family. It was a lot of fun. Some of the highlights are: attending the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open house, several barbeques with various cousins, Pioneer Day parade, a latino circus, playing at parks, making bows, playing settlers, visiting with some of Robert's family including Grandma Bradshaw, and video chatting with Robert.

We also went to the zoo and had a blast. We enjoyed the cool elephant show and getting very close to the giraffes. Kailey was so cute on the carousel- she loved it.
Overall, we just enjoyed spending a lot of time with family.

Happy Birthday Robert (and bye bye to Ketchesons)

To celebrate Robert's birthday and to say goodbye to Ketchesons, we went to the Seattle Center and then out to dinner. Elena and Victoria had a blast in this fountain. They are adorable. Notice Belky and I hiding by the stroller in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid getting wet. Don't worry we got Robert back. Robert requested a blackberry pie for his birthday since its finally blackberry season. Hurray for blackberry season.

Here is Elena playing with Ruby (and Lydia- not pictured). They sure enjoyed each other. We sure miss our best friends and next door neighbors who moved all the way to Saudia Arabia. We hear they're having a fun adventure though. And thank goodness we live in a digital age that closes the distance from Seattle to Saudia Arabia.

2 Pi Anniversary

Robert is the best husband ever! He surprised me with a 2pi anniversary celebration. He recreated the blueberry ham alfredo we had in Venice. It was so good- try it. Then of course he made 2 pies- each with a pi symbol. I love my mathematician!
